Document versioning, full text search, and user rights enhancements

Great new features in the works!!

We are preparing to roll out a couple of major enhancements and make a change to the content editor user rights. We are adding document versioning and check-in/checkout functionality. We took our time on this one to make sure we did it right. In addition, we are adding a powerful new file indexing/full text search that will index common file formats such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF to greatly enhance the accuracy and performance of ProjectSpaces search.

Also, based on overwhelming demand from our customers, we are making a change to the content editor user rights. Currently the content editor can add content, and edit and delete content that they themselves add. But they cannot edit other users content. We are changing this to provide content editors with edit rights to all content. Please let us know if you have any questions about this change.

Lastly, we have a planned hardware upgrade that is scheduled to take place this Saturday, Dec 22, from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern standard Time. We are upgrading our servers to increase speed and responsiveness.
